I am still waiting for Oris' next big watch that they talked about but this is enough to tide me over for the time being. This is the Artix Pointer Moon. Available in a 42mm stainless steel case this watch is on the larger end of the spectrum when it comes to dress watches. At the heart of the watch beats the Oris 761, which is based off of the SW220. This movement has a pointer moon function and date at 6 o’clock. The date is displayed in the more classic way with a date window and the inner ring displays the number of days left until the next lunar cycle while the chapter ring has the corresponding moon phases on it. This watch is not exactly new but it is redesigned into, as Oris puts it, a slimmer and more elegant model. As with many other Oris watches it uses nickel hands and applied markers filled with superluminova. The black dial matches the black calf skin (crocodile pattern) strap which uses a folding buckle. This watch will be priced at 1,900 CHF which is approximately $2,200. Oris redesigned their dressier model lines this year and really made some huge improvements which will show when these watches hit the market sometime in summer-autumn of this year. Really great job Oris!
