For 13 consecutive years, Panerai has sponsored the largest international regatta of classic yachts (named the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, or PCYC for short). The first race will end in Antigua in two-day's time. The circuit, which is composed of 11 races across the world, will end in Cannes in the final week of September. Now onto to the watches. All three special editions released this year have been focused around, as you may expect, sailing. They all feature nautical tachymeters, which measures the speed in knots rather than MPH or KPH. The "vintage" design is a result of the gold and tan accents on the dial and are well-suited for a classic yacht regatta. The three watches are the Panerai Luminor 1950 PCYC Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Titanio (PAM 652), which has a 47mm titanium case. It is also worthy to note that the button located at the 4 o'clock position moves the minute hand back in one-minute intervals (a horn sounds one minute before a race is set to begin. There are two new models that share the same name (nearly). The Panerai Luminor 1950 PCYC 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Acciaio (aka the PAM 653 And PAM 654) both have 44mm steel cases. They come in a choice of a white or black dial. No information regarding pricing has been released, but given the brand it won't be the most affordable watch around. You can find more information about the races (including dates and locations)  at Panerai's PCYC site here.
