Here's another "Limited Edition II" from Oris released at this year's Baselworld. Oris has a long track record of producing high-performance motorsport timepieces. The Audi Sport Limited Edition II is their latest. Powered by Oris Calibre 778, the new watch has a 44mm titanium case, which keeps the watch at a low weight. This allows the watch to be more comfortable during a longer period of time. I imagine that comfort was a major focus, as this watch will be worn by the Audi Sport drives during the 2015 racing season. Functionality was another major focus, as is evident by the 10-minute countdown feature, which drivers to more accurately keep track of race start times. The watch also features a small seconds dial at 9 o’clock, which takes its design cues from the dashboard instruments of modern race cars. Oris has given its new Audi Sport timepiece a stealthy all-black look: its case is cast in lightweight titanium and PVD coated in black DLC; it has a black dial; and the bi-directional rotating bezel has a scratch-resistant black ceramic insert engraved with a minute scale. The Oris Audi Sport Limited Edition II will be limited to 2,000 pieces. It will be available in June 2015 with a retail price of 3,900CHF (~3,940USD).
