Mido is a swiss brand owned by the Swatch Group. Now they have just released two new models, the Commander Gent chronograph and the Commander Gent Leather. The name should be self explanatory. Both have automatic movements. The "Leather" model's movement is the ETA 2836-2 while the chronograph uses the Mido 1320, based off of the Valijoux 7750. With a larger movement the Chronograph model is 42.5mm in diameter while the leather is only 40mm. Each have satin-finished stainless steel cases with a rose gold PVD finish, to give the look of gold but not the price. Despite the fact that this is a dress watch, both have super luminova applied to the hands and markers and are water resistant to 50 meters. They should be available to buy, and people will buy them, in the summer of 2014. Information on pricing has yet to be released and although some may be turned off by the fact the case is not solid rose gold, these watches are sure to sell.
