Many companies have looked back at past designs and re-created the watches with enhanced features and technology. The new Longines Flagship celebrates the 60th anniversary of the company's first Flagship collection. It is inspired by a watch supposedly kept in the company headquarters, though I'm sure people will find this watch far more advanced than the 1957 version. Though one cannot see the change, the new watch's movement is a caliber L609 (a modified ETA 2892). Although still small for today (the days of 50mm+ watches), the new 60th anniversary watch has a larger case than the original, yet it is still 38.5mm in diameter. To finish the watch off, the case back has the same engraving as the original, a caravel. It available in three limited editions: steel, yellow gold, and red gold. longines.com/flagship-heritage-60th-anniversary/
