Kickstarter: Hamtun H1 Titanium

Hamtum has taken Kickstarter by storm, getting funded in just 20 minutes. Damn. The watch is a typical "forum diver", whose name has kind of lost it's meaning to me. The phrase originally referred to watches promoted/sold to watch forums. These watches were usually diving watches (not that many people actually wore them diving, though I know of a few people who do) due to their popularity. Whether it was due to the case shape, bulkiness, or another factor entirely, this style of watches has the most widespread appeal among watch lovers. The phrase has lost some of it's meaning mainly due to the fact that the watches, which were originally sold almost exclusively to forums, are now gaining widespread success on platforms such as Kickstarter </tangent>. The 41mm case and bracelet are both made from titanium, while the bezel is ceramic. The markings on the dial and bezel glow, as do the hands. It comes in three versions, a version with blue markers, one with white, and a "stealth"/blackout version. The movement is the Seiko NH35A. I'll go into my opinion of everything later, including the movement. All of the versions are available on either a titanium bracelet or silicone strap. The watch also features "double-domed" sapphire crystal, increasing the thickness of the watch to 13mm. You can find the campaign here. I've got plenty more to say about this watch, but I'm not sure here is the place to do it. If anyone wants to get my personal opinion on the H1, you can contact me, but I don't want to say anything bad about a watch I choose to write about because there are so many options, why pick a watch just to put in a bad light.
