Here's something I haven't seen before. F.P. Journe has just launched their Patrimoine service, where they buy back watches from past collections that are no longer produced and completely "refurbish". I don't really want to say refurbish mainly because that seems cheap and undesirable, but you'll essentially be getting a new watch. The description from their website is below:
New service for the F.P. Journe collectors wishing to acquire a timepiece from past collections that are no longer in production.

When the opportunity arises, F.P. Journe purchase their own rare watches and restore them as new. They then become available upon request in the F.P. Journe Boutiques and qualify for a new 3 years sales warranty. They are delivered with a new presentation box and a guaranty card.
You can find more on their website here.
