Earlier in December this watch was unveiled at Shreve, Crump & Low in Greenwich, Connecticut. Extremely focused on the hockey legend, the watch is limited to just 50 pieces (as a tribute to the record Wayne Gretzky set in 1981 by scoring 50 goals in just 38 games. Gretzky's number is set in the 9 o'clock subdial and his signature is visible on the back rotor. The watch has a 44mm gold case and Breitling's BO1 movement. The watch is well-designed and there are a number of very nice additions to the watch, but (and this is just my personal opinion) polished gold is far too flashy, especially for a big watch like this one). Again, that's my personal opinion, but then again I can't see this watch being steel. Maybe brushed gold or two-tone.
