Helberg's New Models

The new Helberg CH7
Helberg is a micro brand who makes [relatively] inexpensive watches. They have two new models, the CH3 chronograph and the CH7. They retail for $1,350 and $840 respectively. The CH7 is currently in the manufacturing phase and we should expect the watches to be delivered near the end of May, although it will probably (not will, probably) be closer to the middle of June due to problems that can occur. Pre-order will begin any day now. The CH7 is smaller than some other Helberg watches with a case diameter of 44mm. Surprisingly, the watch is only 17.6mm thick. Why did I say only 17.6mm? Easy answer, the CH7, surprisingly enough, is water resistant to 3000m which usually comes with cases that are 20mm+. The bezel is similar to the Rolex Submariner but the dial is basically a new design. The first production lot will be awfully small with only 50 pieces of each version available, if they sell they will begin to make more to meet demand. More info on the H20 website here.

Next up we have the CH3 chronograph. Unlike the CH7, this watch is already in production. Although the designs are different, both watches are 44mm in diameter. As you may have assumed, this watch uses a Valjoux 7750 inside, a movement that is becoming harder and harder to find, so whenever a company releases a new model with this movement inside, it's something to talk about. You can find more information on this watch here.
