Last year, Greubel Forsey released the GMT Platinum (picture here). This year, the company is releasing a new version of their GMT watch, the GMT Black. The titanium case, coated in ADLC coating (yes ADLC, not DLC) is 43.5mm in diameter and although it is clearly well-designed, appears bulky and uncomfortable. In fact, the watch as a whole looks more like a time machine rather than a $565,000 watch (yes that is the retail cost). The watch features the brand's 24-second tourbillon, a globe that spins every 24 hours, etc. There is actually nothing about the movement to differentiate it from it's predecessors (mainly because it uses the same movement as the ones before). The large dial is the main time indicator (for local time). The subdial at the three indicates seconds and the subdial at 9 is the second time zone (set by the pusher at 11). Other indicators located on the dial is the power reserve indicator beside the crown and the rotating globe (for a more visual display) at 7/8. Turning the watch over reveals a world-time indicator. The watch is a limited edition of 22 pieces and sells for (as mentioned before) $565,000.
