![]() Available to buy on IndieGoGo the Charles River Diver will be the first watch from this new company. They will use a Miyota 9015 movement and C3 superluminova. The only pictures available are computer-generated but it looks very promising. It will have domed sapphire crystal with anti-relfective coating on the inside and a 120 click sapphire bezel with a lumed triangle made to time dives or the cooking time on a thanksgiving turkey. The watch case is made of 316L steel and is water resistant to 300m. It is 41mm diameter is 14mm thick and has a 20mm lug width. Some may complain that the watch is too small but I have yet to see a 41mm watch that looks bad on any size wrist. I personally have a 6.5'' wrist, so I can appreciate the choice of size. It has a black-on-white date window at 4:30. Though the watch would probably look better with a white-on-black date display, as this would blend in with the dial better. The 20mm oyster-style bracelet has solid end links and screw pins. The clasp features a divers safety, so it will stay securely strapped to your wrist no matter what happens and a wetsuit extension for diving. The IndiGoGo campaign ends on December 15th (12/15/13) and the funding currently has close to $10,000 out of the required $47,000. The pre-order price is $600, but the production price will rise to $1,000. I have decided to support them and I hope you will do the same.
