This article in the WSJ caught my eye and I thought it warranted a post. Hermes, a brand which I do have some respect for, released a version, in conjunction with Apple, of the iWatch. In my opinion, it not only cheapens the brand name, but is appealing to such a small percentage of the market that I don't see it being a big hit. Hermes, we must keep in mind, has some watches in the GPHG of this year. While I am not an expert in the area of business decisions, I would have liked to see Hermes pass up on this deal. That being said, Hermes' main source of income has nothing to do with their luxury watch line. Most people looking to spend that much on a watch will most likely look towards a brand that exclusively produces watches, rather than one that does not. The watch, given the strap choices, is targeted at women. You can find everything else here.
