The company Oris, who makes watches for the everyday person, has just released a new take on their big-crown model line. This new watch is 46mm in diameter. The black PVD case gives the watch a stealthy look and the green, although white might have looked better, really makes the watch pop. It has the Oris 675 at the heart of the watch, a movement based off of the Valijoux 7750. The domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating thickly applied to make sure the time can be easily read from all angles. The Big Crown Chronograph is clearly a pilot watch with large hands and numerals that provide more than enough visibility, no matter what time of the day (or night!). The inner rotating bezel is a nice touch but an unnecessary feature on a watch water resistant to only 30 bar. Especially when the watch is equipped with a chronograph. The new chronograph will be price at 3,300 CHF, or ~$3,700. It is a straight-up gorgeous watch and with the price it has it will sell quickly. 7750 chronographs can be bought for far cheaper, but there is no chance the quality will be in the same universe as this new Oris (Reference No. 675 7648 4234 LS).
