Traditionelle Chronograph Perpetual Calendar
Admittedly, this watch was announced back in September, but I haven't covered it until now. Available in either platinum or pink gold, the watch is conservatively styled. It does not feature any of the bold colors or multiple design features other watches from this year had. It is simple, but I don't like it as much as the other watches released this year. It's just too simple and somewhat boring. The new in-house movement inside, the 1142 QP, has had it's frequency increased to 21,600 BPH.

It's been a long time since I've posted (entirely due to school, unfortunately), so I thought I'd make this post about something special. Vacheron's new watch, the Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon Watch is one of the first announced for this year's SIHH convention, an exclusive exhibition in which select brands release their new models. Although many brands have realized that the market for high-end watches has begun to fall and people are instead choosing smartwatches and cheaper alternatives, VC was not deterred from releasing this watch, which retails for an incredible $490,900 in pink gold and $546,600 in platinum. Needless to say, only the collectors with deep pockets will be able to afford this watch. The 44mm case comes in platinum or pink gold and protects the hand-wound VC Caliber 2755 TMR. TMR, I assume, stands for Tourbillon Minute Repeater and differentiates this movement from the 2755, which is found in other VC watches. The 2755 TMR was based on the existing 2755. Never thought I would write "2755" so many times in so few sentences. The dial comes in a choice between silver opaline or slate-colored (platinum case). The pink gold version is only offered with a silver-opaline dial. All the dials, as is likely expected at this price point, are decorated with a hand-guilloché finish.
