Arnold and Son has recently released a trio of new watches to celebrate the HMS Beagle. Why did they feel the need to release these watches? Well, as Arnold & Son explains: John Arnold and his Son made a large contribution to the creation of the marine chronometers used on the Beagle and what better way to honor them than to release a LE watch (or in this case three). This is the first watch I will cover. If I deciphered the press release correctly, this watch has a red gold case measuring 42mm in diameter, a smaller size than all of the watches Arnold & Son has released this year. Topping off of the watch is domed sapphire crystal with dual anti-reflective coating. Arnold & Son paired their new tourbillon with a hand-stitched alligator leather strap. Inside of the case beats the calibre A&S8200 with functions for hours, minutes, and seconds (tourbillon). It also features 29 jewels, a one-minute flying tourbillon, The decoration is gorgeous (see below). All three of their new watches are limited to just 8 pieces.
